The Seventh Trumpet of Revelation

(Part 1) We begin our study on the seventh trumpet of Revelation by looking at how trumpets were used in Israel. The trumpet had three main uses, described in Numbers 10. The trumpet was used to gather the people, to commemorate important times and events, and as a signal in war. The key to the seventh trumpet of Revelation is in the story of Jericho's destruction. The army of Israel conquered Jericho at the sounding of seven trumpets.

(Part 2) Just as the walls of Jericho fell at the seventh trumpet, so will the nations of the world. At the seventh trumpet, Jesus will return to reign over the nations. The army of Christ will conquer the kingdoms of the world (Revelation 11.15), and set up his eternal Kingdom.

(Part 3) Here we look at 1st Thessalonians 4.16, and how it describes Jesus' return at the seventh trumpet. We see all the historical uses of the trumpet coming together here. At the seventh trumpet, the world as we know it will change forever.
